HELLO PPLHERE ARE THE INFO ABOUT THE MATHS PROJECT WORK ............. Secondary One Mathematics Year-end Project Work Volume and Surface Area ************************************************************* Type: Individual Work Instructions: 1. Refer first to course (Learning Object in AsknLearn). 2. Students are required to read through the textbook first before doing this project. 3. As they go through the course/ textbook, they are required to know § the definition of all the ‘green’ colour words on pg 288, 289, 292 § the formula for volume of prism and surface area of prism § the formula for volume of cylinder and surface area of cylinder 4. Students are supposed to find an example of a solid cylinder and a prism. § Take a picture/photo of both figures § Indicate the dimensions of both figures (i.e. radius, length, height) § Calculate the volume and surface area of both figures 5. Mode of presentation: § Do on foolscap paper / plain paper then file it in a clear folder § Write on construction paper then bind them together § Use a scrap book 6. Show all workings clearly. 7. Homework – to be done together in the scrapbook. § Practice 10A Qn 5, 11, 14, 15, 17 (p297 – 299) § Practice 10B Qn 3, 5, 10, 12, 16 (p303 – 306) 8.
